Finally!!  After many months of unexpected delays the Yank Performance Merino Ankle Socks are ready to ✨launch✨. 

 

This was the last set of socks to be made, and the one that I have been looking forward to the most. For those who are not familiar with my story.. I have spent most of my life doing some form of running. From exploring trails for enjoyment to high mileage training to race along side some of the best athletes in the world.

 

I have always loved the simplicity of the sport. You can't beat having good shoes and a good fitting pair of socks when the mode of transport is literally taking life one step at a time... for potentially hours on end.

 

 

Here is an image from part of the planning process. The first prototype that was knitted was a nice looking sock, but the fit was all wrong and function was failing to tick all of the boxes when I compared it to all the 'go to' pairs of ankle socks I have in my drawer. I was really amazed that it took only one prototype and a single technical drawing of detailed modifications for the sock in my mind... to become a sock that I could actually put on my foot.

 

 

The final product is not only practical and comfortable..
These socks are also a good bit of fun. Suitable for every day wear, or keeping your feet happy as you are putting in the time.

Fabrics have been printed.. threads have been matched... and the wheels are back in motion to get the next collections turned out. I can hardly wait to send out the update for when the first set is ready to go live.
