Time to share an update regarding the next series of socks to be knitted. Having such an amazing response to the Yank Performance Ankle Socks... there was very little that I wanted to change. As they say... "If it isn't broken, then don't try to fix it!!".
With winter on its way, and listening to the feedback when I asked you about sock lengths... I have decided to add one more variation to what is available in the Yank Merino Sock Collections.
It took a bit if time and faffage to get the height that I was after.. Not to long, not too short. Long enough to clear the gaps where fine debris can find its way down the 'achilles gap' - short enough to be worn pulled up at full length and not feel cumbersome.
Continuing with stripes for technical reasons (aside from their apparent good looks 😉). Having stripes in all the right places helps to produce a structurally comfortable sock and a clean finish inside reducing the stop start knots that you find inside socks that are knitted with technical designs.
👆 Here is an image of a sock interior showing how smooth the stripes are knitted along side the deliciously soft achilles/heel padding.
Mismatched from top to toe I am seriously smitten with this latest addition. They will be coming in 3 different colour-ways. 🧡 Boasting all the wonderful features the Performance Ankle socks have (right/left specific - arch support - padded toe - padded heel/achilles - mesh panels for increased breathability)... with just a little bit more coverage.
Knitting is booked to begin some time in the next couple of weeks. Originally planned to be available some time in April. The amazing team who are knitting these beauties are weathering a few interruptions due to Covid... so will have to watch this space. 🤞
For all of you who voted for 'below the ankle' - there will be more of the Performance Ankle Sock being knitted aiming to have them ready by spring. 🌸🍃
Don't forget there is a 🍂🍁 Autumn Giveaway 🍁🍂 being drawn at the end of this week. If you have not already, be sure to have a look on Instagram to enter.
That is it for updates this week. I hope you are having a fabulous day!
Happy Adventures 🙂
